Beddington Fine Art proudly launch their 10th Anniversary Season in Bargemon.
On the 7th April 2010 with a provocative but sensitive exhibition of recent paintings, works on paper and sculptures by the Czechoslovac-born Franta.
An escapee in the 1950s from the oppressive evil behind the Iron Curtain, Franta has rarely ever distanced himself from the human predicament, which his paintings express with humility and infinite loving skill, imbuing his portrayal of man and nature with a haunting beauty that transcends and ennobles his subject matter.

Guy et Michèle Beddington célèbrent le 10ème Anniversaire de Beddington Fine Art à Bargemon par une série d’événements dans leur galerie et jardins débutant le 7 Avril 2010 avec une Exposition provocatrice mais sensible de tableaux récents, travaux sur papier et sculptures du peintre français d’origine tchèque Franta.
Un réfugié dans les années 50 du mal oppressif du rideau de fer, Franta s’est rarement distancié du tourment de la condition humaine que ses peintures expriment avec une humilité et une habilité infinie, imprégnant son portrait de l’homme et de la nature d’une beauté qui transcende et ennoblit son oeuvre.
« Ce qui m’intéresse, c’est l’inquiétude de Cézanne, les tourments de Van Gogh et Egon Schiele, l’énergie de Picasso – c’est à dire le drame de l’homme. »
Une demande pour des expositions dans le monde entier et sa présence dans de nombreuses collections de musées témoignaient déjà de sa prééminence artistique même avant sa découverte du continent noir, et du peuple Massai en particulier, dans les années 80 ; un changement stimulant d’une énergie nouvelle la vision en cours de Franta « car l’Afrique situe toujours l’homme dans son milieu d’origine dans une relation exemplaire avec la nature. »
Une Exposition qui offre aux collectionneurs et amateurs d’art la chance d’apprécier un de peintres majeurs français à l’apogée de sa création.
