The exhibition taking place at Beddington Fine Art presents the ceramics of Michel Muraour as well as those of other artists who have worked and fired in his impressive wood-burning kiln.

have joined Michel Muraour for this Exhibition, entitled : "AUTOUR DU FOUR DE MURAOUR"

Muraour was initially the student of Josep Llorens Artigas the Catalan ceramicist closely associated with Marquet, Dufy, Braque and Miró, and he collaborated with Artigas on ceramic mural projects with Miró as well as founding the ceramic studio at the Fondation Maeght in St Paul.

His best known works, inspired by palm trunks, together with his impressive and substantial square formations will be accompanied by new raw or enamelled cylindrical pieces.

L'exposition qui aura lieu à la galerie Beddington en octobre, présentera les céramiques de Michel Muraour, ainsi que d'autres d'artistes qui ont travaillé et cuit dans son grand four à bois.

Se sont jointes pour cette exposition intitulée : "AUTOUR DU FOUR DE MURAOUR"

Michel Muraour qui fut élève de Josep Llorens Artigas, collabora avec ce dernier à la réalisation de céramiques murales pour Miró, et fut à l'origine de la création de l'atelier de céramique de la galerie Maeght à St Paul.

Son travail plus connu des troncs de palmiers et des grands blocs carrés, sera accompagné des nouvelles pièces cylindriques émaillées ou brutes.
